Our commitment
A site whose purpose is to explain health information has to be readable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard alone, enlarging the text, or unable to distinguish certain colours. We put work into this, and this page sets out exactly what was done, what has not been, and who to contact.
Level of conformance
The site is built to the Israeli standard IS 5568, which adopts the WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines, as required by regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
What was actually done
- Colour contrast. Every text-and-background pair on the site is tested automatically against the 4.5:1 threshold (3:1 for large text), across four combinations — Hebrew and English, light mode and dark mode. The test re-runs on every deployment, and it currently passes with zero failures.
- Full keyboard navigation. Every link, button, field, filter and tab can be operated by keyboard alone, in a sensible order.
- Visible focus indicator on every focusable element, not relying on colour alone.
- A skip link to the main content, revealed on the first Tab press.
- Alternative text on every image, including the logo and label images.
- A hierarchical heading structure and correct landmarks, so a screen reader can jump between parts of the page.
- Labelled form fields with associated labels and clear marking of required fields.
- No reliance on colour alone. Every score carries a word with it (“good”, “acceptable”, “weak”), and every chart carries a legend and the figures. Someone who cannot distinguish green from red receives exactly the same information.
- Zoom to 200% with no loss of content or function, and no horizontal scrolling.
- Full support for both text directions, right-to-left and left-to-right, including correct mirroring of arrows and icons.
- No flashing and no automatic animation that cannot be stopped.
- Page language declared correctly in the markup, so a screen reader pronounces Hebrew as Hebrew and English as English.
- Works without a mouse and without a third-party overlay. There is no accessibility plugin on this site — accessibility is built into the page itself, which is the approach that actually works.
Limitations we are aware of
- The comparison tables are wide. Comparing four products side by side requires horizontal scrolling on a narrow screen. The table is readable by a screen reader, but the scrolling can be awkward.
- Label images. The Supplement Facts panel image comes from an external database, and the text inside that image is not available to a screen reader. Every substantive figure from the panel appears as ordinary text in the card itself, so no information exists only inside an image.
- External PDF documents. Links to certificates of analysis and to studies lead to third-party sites whose accessibility we do not control.

Testing details
Accessibility was tested by an automated check of every colour pair and focus indicator across all pages, in both languages and both display modes, and by manual keyboard-navigation testing. Last tested: 19 September 2026. The site is tested in current Chromium-based browsers.
